1. Visionary Leadership.
Educational Administrators inspire and lead development and implementation of a shared visionfor comprehensive integration of technology to promote excellence and support transformation throughout the organization.

Educational Administrators:

a. inspire and facilitate among all stakeholders a shared vision of purposeful change that maximizes use of digital-age resources to meet and exceed learning goals, support effective instructional practice, and maximize performance of district and school leaders
b. engage in an ongoing process to develop, implement, and communicate technology-infused strategic plans aligned with a shared vision
c. advocate on local, state, and national levels for policies, programs, and funding to support implementation of a technology-infused vision and strategic plan

Brody Hamel: NETS-A Standard 1a: Administrators can make sure that their staff promotes and teaches students how to use digital-age resources as ways of researching and finding information.

Reggie Kennedy: NETS-A Standard 1a: Movie Maker would allow for administrators to share innovative teaching techniques to be used in the classroom.

Heidi Faivre: NETS-A Standard 1a: After learning the unlimited searching that google can provide through its site, teachers can use that information when showing students ways to research a topic and give themselves more information about a subject matter. The Big Six would help staff stay on course with what they are researching and make sure that the digital resources meet, support and maximize performance for their students and school.

Becki Deater: NETS-A Standard 1a and b: We will soon be looking at our school mission statement and possibly restructuring it. I think a Wiki could be a good tool to use school wide to allow all teachers to have time to think the mission statement over and give equal input. This could be used by administrators for a number of different ideas as a good communication tool.

Jim Struyk: NETS-A Standard c:

Encouraging teachers to apply for technology based grants and promoting the awards through local and media sources. Teachers would have a chance to explore how technology can enhance their classroom, and by releasing media and promting the teachers innovations, the public can begin to see the impact of technolgy in the classroom.

Eric Pertiet: NETS-A Standard 1b: New and current technologies that can be used in the class roo introduced and promoted during school improvement days.

Reggie Kennedy: NETS-A Standard a and b: This would be a great way for an administrator to monitor concern in order to develop
meaningful institutes and staff developments which will for once be resourceful.

Brody Hamel: NETS-A Standard 1b: Administrators should attend workshops and/or seminars learning about new technologies that can be used in schools. Districts could then decide what would be beneficial and cost efficient for the district. Trainings could take place to instruct the teachers on the new technologies.

Eric Pertiet: NETS-A Standard 1a: The use of moviemaker can be a very effective tool used by administration to share there vision to the district.

Carri Oslager: 1 C: I find this aspect to be the hardest, as it could mean writing grants for technology... which could add to an already heavy load for an administrator. However, grants could be the most beneficial way to update technology, especially in a time where most districts have to cut budgets. The initial outlay of expense could be balanced by the cost savings (as in virtual servers- which could save space, maintenance time and electricity.)

Scott Luken NETS-A Standard 1a and b: At Yorkville Middle School, the administration and the building leadership team collaborate to create an annual school improvement plan. The plan is broken down into sections based on the goals we will set to make AYP on state standardized testing. Using Google Docs would be an excellent way to allow everyone involved to create and edit their sections while providing input and feeback on the other sections during and throughout the writing, editing, and approval process. Since Google Docs allows you to view and re-save each step in the editing process, administrators don't have to worry about a staff member making changes to the document that they don't like.

Michael Gecan: NETS-A 1b: Google docs could be used by a superintendent to help communicate better with his building administrators. He/she could design a weekly newsletter for all the buildings adminstrators to view. Then the admistrators would be encouraged to give responses on the newsletters.

Brenda Petre NETS-A Standard 1a: By using google docs, different committees at the school could post their notes and then others who may not be on the committee would be able to see what the committees are discussing and then be able to add their ideas. This would help the committees be able to communicate and collaborate their ideas and for other teachers who may not be on the committee to have input on ideas that are being presented by different committees.

Mike Guzaldo 1A As an administrator you could meet this standard by having your staff tackle a task similar to what we did in class, Create a movie on a relevant school issues. The use of video making equipment would also help to promote technology and get across the vision of technology in association with professional development.

Heidi Faivre 1b:b. Creating visuals is a great way to communicate technology-infused strategic plans aligned with a shared vision especially as we become more globally enhanced. Because we don't all speak the same languages we can use visuals to share visions.
